Description

Liothyronine (L-triiodothyronine or L-T3) is indicated for use in the treatment of hypothyroidism. Liothyronine is the synthetic form of triiodothyronine. T3 is one of the two circulating Thyroid Hormones and is the more metabolically active one, relative to T4 also called levothyroxine. It affects almost every physiological process in the body, including growth and development, metabolism, body temperature, and heart rate. We compound liothyronine(T3) capsules or a combination of levothyroxine (T4)/liothyronine (T3) in an immediate release and slow/modified release capsule based on your doctor’s prescription. The dosage of thyroid hormones is determined by the indication and must in every case be individualized according to patient response and laboratory findings.
